"Taffy"

Dear Dr. Lerner,

I just want to tell you how my wife and I feel about your training which solved a major problem with our overactive, jumpy cockapoo Taffy.  I can still hardly believe the transformation which has taken place since we started with your program!  She is a totally different animal,  so very much more  controlled and obedient to our commands.  As I told you last week, I really didn't like her very much before the training, but now I can enjoy her every day.  Thank you so much!

With much satisfaction,  Dick and Sandy Depkin

"Mo"

Dear Robin and Dr. Chuck,

I just wanted to tell you both how very pleased my family and I are with the work you did with Mo.  When we brought him to you he was a pretty good dog inside but was completely uncontrollable outside.  Mo, being a German Short-Haired Pointer is very prey driven.  There wasn't a bird, rabbit, squirrel, cat, butterfly..... well, you get the point, that he wouldn't chase.

After just three (3) days of training at the Terrapin K9 Academy Mo is a different dog.  He can be taken anywhere and he behaves like a gentleman.  He is a pleasure to be around both home and outside.

I must admit that I had my doubts that you could turn my ADHD dog into one that listens.  Boy was I wrong.

Please feel free to use me or any other member of my family as a reference.  You deliver what you promise and a whole lot more.

Once again, THANK YOU!

"Mia"

Hey Robin,
Unfortunately, the pic I'm sending is just of Mia.  I seem to always be the one taking
the pics, so I'm never in them!  Do notice that she is on the beach with her e-collar on.  This was the first time she ever got to run on the beach without me yanking her on a 6 ft leash.  She loves it!!Mia at the beach
Just want to express my sincerest appreciation for the work you did with
Mia.  She is SO happy to be off leash and enjoying life as all animals
should.  Since your training, she has come out of her crate and enjoys
playing freely with all her dog friends.  Living in the city, I never
thought I would be able to have my lab off leash.  Now, I can walk with her down a sidewalk minus a leash with full confidence!  Her quality of life has gone up tremendously!  I would recommend your training coupled with the superior quality e-collar to anyone!  My only complaint is that I waited
too long before asking for your help!  Thanks again Terrapin-K9!

"Fritz"

Chuck and Robin,
When we first got Fritz, I was afraid to take him anywhere by myself because he is big, and not far off from my own weight - not to mention, he has four wheel drive.  I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to control him and that he would get away from me.  After his training, I'll take him anywhere.  I trust that he'll listen to me.  It's a great feeling!
And, after being able to call Fritz away from a dog fight....
I always realized training was important - but until yesterday, the real meaning was not entirely CRYSTAL clear.  It is now.  I cannot thank you guys enough for drilling us to stay consistent with Fritz.  I don't know what I would have done had Fritz some how gotten mixed up in the fight and gotten hurt.  He listened when it was critical and did the things that we practice with him everyday.  We don't feed people food to Fritz, but Sunday night, he got a steak.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

"Rocco"

Just a quick letter to thank you guys for all of your help
with our "little guy" Rocco. Before we brought him to you
at 9 months and a 100 lbs. of I'll do what I want whether
you have a treat for me or not!, even I had a tough time
keeping him under control, much less for Lauren to even
think about it. After the training he is much more behaved
and easier to control. Now Lauren can control Rocco even
though he is much, much stronger than her.   She can walk
him and I don't need to be home to discipline him either if
he is not behaving.  The  follow up session was very
helpful.  We used to have a dog that got into everything...,
But now we have a fully decorated Christmas tree and he
doesn't even bother it, which before would have just been a
great new toy.  I can now take him to the park and on hikes
with out a leash and even fully involved in playtime with
his buddies he will come running back. We've still got some
things to work on but we are miles ahead of were we would
be!!
Thank you so much for your help and information,
Josh & Lauren Campbell

K9 "Bronx"

Chuck,
Here is a nice drug pinch Bronx had last night (Sat.) - half pound of weed.  On a car stop he found it hidden in the rear quarter panel. He also hit Friday night on 1oz of heroin found in a closet on a house search.

I would like to tell you that K9 Bronx turned out to one HELL of a street dog. Bronx has proven himself time and time again with drug finds as little as dime bags to kilo's of cocaine. He has several track apprehensions on both grass and street, finds in building searches as well as straight apprehensions. I must say he has earned respect from many as a SUPER street dog.
He has also proven that he can do it in police dog trials too.  We entered one USPCA trial and won it!  We have also certified with both the NAPWDA and USPCA.  Thank you once again for a great job on his foundation training!

"Tripp"

This is to anyone who is considering The Terrapin K9 Academy for training their dog. Do it and do not think twice. Whatever Robin and Chuck say to do, just do it. I had an elderly lab that died and I did not take it well. So like anyone of sound mind I got myself a puppy. I went into shock to say the least. I was not prepared for what I was about to go through. I called at least 10 places asking for help. I was lost and confused. My dog was eating me alive and destroying everything around me and I could not find any help. Then I called the Terrapin K9 Academy . I left a message and thought I would never hear anything back. I left many other messages with other dog trainers saying that I was going insane and please could anyone help me. Not only did Robin call me back, she spoke with me on the phone for what seemed and hour, giving me advice that just flat out changed my life. I needed to wait three weeks to get into puppy K, but she told me things that helped me make it to the training. Then came the training. Dr. Chuck and Robin really care about you and your dog. They are considerate and helpful. They explain everything so you understand, and make everything make sense. We got through our initial training. My dog is a Labradoodle. He is all boy and all A+ personality. He does everything he can to be the boss. Robin approached me with the idea of the shock collar. I said no way. No way, no way. Then Tripp, my dog continued to be out of control beyond. The older he got the worse he got. I was not able to control this dog. He drug me around the park.  He did things I could write a book about. Everyone I knew said do not do the shock collar it is cruel. Was the fact that he was tearing me a apart not cruel? I liked Robin and trusted Dr. Chuck so much by this point I decided to give it a try. I dropped Tripp off on a Monday morning. I was on vacation baby!!! Two days of peace. Then I picked him up on that Wednesday afternoon. I will never forget that day. I was waiting in a room and here he came up the hill with Dr. Chuck. Free of a leash and appearing to be what seemed a very happy dog. He was happy to see me. He was thinking ” thank god, all of this sitting and listening is getting to me”. But he was under control. Where had my dog gone? This surely was an imposter. Dr. Chuck showed me my new dog and all that he could do. He then handed me this new power in the form of what looked like a small cell phone with two buttons. My dog may not have respected me but he new what this thing was. I was told to be consistent. To be fair. To be kind. And taught how to control my dog. Tripp and I now go to the park everyday. He runs and swims and plays with other dogs. When other people come by, I call him to come and he sits right by my side until I say "OK". People remark how good my dog is, and I beam like the proud doggie mom I am. So whoever you are reading this, again, have no fear. Robin and Chuck will guide you in the right direction for you. Listen to them and you will enjoy your dog beyond what you ever thought you could.

Stacey and Tripp

"Blue"

Hey guys......Its been a week and all i have to say is:  Where is my dog?
This is an imposter, lol,,,,He's been doing great.  First day home an ambulance came up our street..it worked!.. I took him around the block 4 times (without a leash), went in the house, got my wife ...told her she had to see this,,,We both are truly grateful.  Its really great being able to let him run around the yard again.
Anyway, thanks a lot,
Chuck and Gen and Blue...

.

Thank you!!!

I just wanted to thank you both for the wonderful job you did with Max!!  We played all weekend.  He was off leash and even with distractions at the local park (kids and other dogs) he was wonderful and extremely focused...

Thank you again.  Please feel free to give our names out as a reference for your training.
