Dr. Charles Lerner: Trainer, veterinarian and behaviorist.
Not satisfied with the understanding of animal behavior he acquired through his career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Lerner went on a personal journey into the world of canine behavior that began 10 years ago and continues still today. While his resume is lengthy, it is the constant acquisition of new thoughts and ideas in the field of canine behavior that truly keeps this good doctor happy. He regularly attends seminars and lectures on the most current concepts in canine behavior and training.
Dr. Lerner's interests in man's best friend span a wide spectrum. In addition to teaching obedience, he spends several hours a week in behavior consultations with people and their problem dogs. He has had great success treating separation anxiety, "dominance" aggression, fearfulness, house-breaking issues and much more. He has also jumped head first into the world of canine sports. He is working with two of his dogs toward titles in Schutzhund, a well-rounded sport that involves obedience, tracking and protection.
